Empowering Australian farmers with real choice, healthier soils, and sustainable results – because every paddock is different.

Red Earth Agri is a family-driven agricultural business founded in 2018 by Rod and his familiy, sixth-generation Tasmanian farmers. With generations of hands-on experience across seeds, broadacre cropping, livestock, and more, we've seen what works – and what doesn't – on real Australian dirt.

Our passion has always been improving soil health through practical, proven sustainable farming methods. Rod's track record shows it: farms he's worked with consistently achieve better structure, higher organic matter, improved water retention, and stronger yields, even in tough conditions.

Our Story

Rod grew up farming in all soil types – iron-rich, acidic, and high ph. All sort of soils that are in need of careful management to thrive. Over decades, he's tried and had success in everything from broadacre cereals and pulses to livestock grazing, seed production, and pasture improvement. Hamish, carrying on the family tradition as the sixth generation, brings fresh energy and a modern eye to the same core values.

In 2018, we formalised what the family had been doing for years: helping other farmers build resilient, productive systems. Red Earth Agri was born to bundle our expertise, on-farm results, and growing network into one trusted name.

Our Vision & Mission

In a world where mega-corporations increasingly control inputs and advice, Red Earth Agri exists to give farmers genuine choice and flexibility. We believe Australian growers deserve options that fit their unique soils, climates, and goals – not one-size-fits-all packages from distant boardrooms.

Deliver independent, evidence-based agronomy support, innovative fertiliser approaches, and technology that prioritises soil health, farm profitability, and long-term sustainability.

Our Focus

We help farmers improve soil health and crop/livestock performance through:

  • Practical soil health strategies (proven to build organic matter, correct imbalances, and boost resilience)

  • Tailored agronomy advice drawing on Rod's lifetime of diverse farming experience

  • A fresh approach to fertiliser and farm technology – thanks to our recent partnership with LCF Australia

This partnership brings new, flexible nutrient solutions and tools into Australia. Every plot of dirt is different – that's why we focus on giving you choices that match your farm, not rigid programs. Whether you're dealing with Tasmanian red ferrosols, Victorian clay loams, or anything in between, we start with what your soil actually needs.
